John Hageman

John is a Partner and Board Member of Carnrite Group. Previously, John served as Chief Legal Officer and Managing Partner. John has been integral to Carnrite Group’s turnaround, transformation, and restructuring efforts with companies such as Amplify Energy, Trinity River Energy, The Swan Corporation, Eco-Stim Energy Solutions, and Epic Integrated Services. Since joining the firm in 2008, John has led a variety of engagements with private and public companies covering strategic, operational, and functional efforts. He has extensive legal and business experience in M&A, debt and equity financing, corporate restructuring, contract negotiations, corporate governance, and compliance.
Prior to joining Carnrite, John was Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for a portfolio company of Apollo Management Group, which acquired and integrated over 70 companies in the manufacturing and metal fabrication industry. During this 12-year period, John participated in and helped manage the integration of acquired companies and business cultures into a single operating company. John has extensive personal experience and insights into the challenges faced by organizations during periods of growth, contraction, and winddown. In addition, as CLO for publicly traded companies for 25 years, John brings unique insights and experience as to the duties, responsibilities, and challenges of executive officers and directors of publicly traded companies.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration from The University of Kansas, and a Juris Doctor from Washburn School of Law.
