Chris Chia
Managing Director
Chris is a Managing Director and leading member of Carnrite Group’s Performance Improvement practice. He has over 30 years of global upstream oil and gas industry experience. Chris joined Carnrite Group in 2018. During his time with the company, he has consulted on engagements in the U.S., Europe, and West Africa that spanned topics such as operational excellence transformations, process design and integration, and driving financial returns.
Prior to joining Carnrite Group, Chris held senior management positions in drilling operations, engineering management and product development for Schlumberger, GE Oil & Gas, and Scientific Drilling. During this time, he has worked internationally on business restructuring projects, and on strategy development for business growth and change through consolidation cycles. Chris started his career as a navigator in the British Merchant Navy.
Chris holds Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from The Open University in the United Kingdom and a Master of Business Administration specializing in Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma. He is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, a certified Quality Management Systems Lead Auditor, and an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
